Today I posted my first video on YouTube, and it was much more difficult than I expected. First off, I had completely forgotten that I needed to write a description for the video, so I came up with a short blurb, but then I also needed to find audio clips for the Aria of the Week, which took a while. Also, I had prepared a thumbnail, but apparently you have to be of a certain status on YouTube to be able to add your own thumbnails. When I got to the part of the uploading process where I could add links to my channel and stuff like that, I found out that links can only be added in the last 15 or so seconds of the video, which means the end card had to be the end of the video. This was a problem because I had edited mine to show the end card (the “please like & subscribe” part), and then the Aria of the Week. I tried adding links anyway, but for some reason, they just wouldn’t work, so I decided to scrap adding links until the next video, and just go ahead and post it anyway. I then went on my iPhone and took a screenshot of the video on YouTube, which I posted to Instagram. You can view the post here.
