Today I was VERY productive - I had Set School for 6 hours, so I was able to get a lot done. I fully scripted the first episode of the web-series (linked here), and I started episode 2 (linked here). I divided the episodes into stages of production, so I will have 6 episodes total:

  1. Story

  2. Writing

  3. Composing

  4. Costumes

  5. Sets

  6. Finishing Touches

I was planning on doing Writing and Composing as a joint episode, but there’s just too much information, so I decided to split them up.

I also began working on the Criterion B Report Draft because it is due today, but I am a bit confused by it. Bi and Biii I understand, but Bi seems to only be able to be answered in pictures. Seeing as this is a written report I’m a little confused as to how I am supposed to answer Bii, so I am going to email Ms. Wade to see if I could meet with her to get some clarity. Since the Report Draft is due today, though, I turned it in completed to the best of my ability, and left a comment on Google Classroom as to why some of the document was blank.

I also redid my costume design today! I kept the form the same, but I erased most of what I did a few days ago, and I am much happier with the result. The skirt shape was off, so I used the shape from one of the dresses on my moodboard. I didn’t know what to do on the top, though, to make it cool, and I didn’t just want to do chain male or plain armor because that is boring. I told myself to just draw something, so I drew a line, and then another, and the line thing took off! Playing with geometry in fashion is usually a sure way to make an interesting piece. And I felt like the left shoulder needed some decoration, so I added spikes. I decided to go with a smoky gray color palette because I felt it would convey war and wisdom best. I also made Athena a staff - it is very simple, but it has the symbol for wisdom on top of it. All I have to do now is make her hair, crown, and shoes.
