Today I met with Ms. Wade so that we could talk about the Supervisor Agreement section. I shared my meeting notes with her and she took a few minutes to read over what I’d written, and click on the links to look at my documents and my Process Journal. She said it was all really good, and then we discussed the concerns she had with me which was what the Supervisor Agreement section was all about. She was concerned about my ambition for this project and my limited time frame, especially given that I booked an acting job and am going to be flying back and forth from New York frequently. I understood completely what she was saying, and I have been thinking about that as well, so I voiced one of the ideas I’ve been thinking about that would reduce the workload: instead of composing a full scene, I’ll just compose one or two of the goddesses’ arias, and do just one costume design instead of three. If time permits, of course I’ll do more, though. Ms. Wade also said that she would put me in touch with a composer who was based in New York city and who worked with students in the DP Music course. She said he enjoys working with AIS students, and thus would be prone to giving good feedback and answering emails in a timely manner.
I also asked Ms. Wade about the Academic Honesty Form, which she said I just needed to fill out in pen, and give it to her to sign. I will do that today or tomorrow.
