Yesterday I got some news that there was a high likelihood that I would be away in New York working for 4 months, so I decided to try to finish Criterion B by the end of August so that I would have the full 4 months to create and take my time. I had a meeting with Ms. Grosch earlier this week and as we were talking I decided to change my idea slightly so that I’m not making a portfolio anymore, but a web series explaining how to put on an opera production. I will still compose a scene and do all of those things, but I will use those to help teach those watching the web series. Because of this, I had to write 3 new research questions on my Research Qs document so show that I did research for that.

During my meeting with Ms. Grosch, she also told me that:

I should connect my Criterion Aii to actual summative that I’ve done
I should put the links to my Criterion A bibliography and my Research Qs document on the Criterion Aiii document
The documents she put templates for on Google Classroom were just outlines and could be changed if they didn’t work for me.

I did the first two things first. I then moved onto Criterion Bi, and because my idea changed slightly, that allowed me to fill out more of the questions on there, but there are still a few I think I’ll have to change. I was also going to try and figure out a different way of doing the GANTT Chart, but then I decided that the GANTT Chart was a pretty good outline and that I would stick to that. It was not as difficult as I thought it would be, it was just a little tedious, but it’s almost done.

I also sent a followup to Hilary Ley from The Met a few days ago to see where she was on the research she said she would do for me. I know that she is very busy with preparations for the new season, so I told her when I needed the research by, so hopefully she feels less stressed now. Her information is all I need to complete all of Criterion A.
